Tom Botts had no idea what lay ahead as his Pinto rolled off the Alaska Marine Highway (Alaska's Inside Passage ferry system) into the small Tlingit Indian village of Hoonah, located in Southeast Alaska.
Tom, his wife Jan and their two children were about to enter into an adventure that would shape the rest of their lives.
The Farm, as it is called, was a mysterious place to outsiders. A place where a devoutly religous group of people come to escape the hazards of a secular world. Tom was not one of them; he was one of the hazards of the outside world.
